10 months of The Comm Sheet
Producing this newsletter for you over the past 10 months has been deeply fulfilling and probably the happiest I’ve been in my career. I’ve loved bringing you design topics in a tone that’s fresh, at times irreverent, and always honest. I’ve had the privilege of featuring and meeting designers whose work I've followed for years. And I’ve strengthened industry bonds that trace back to when I started as a professional some 25 years ago. As our owners regroup, restructure, and shape what’s next for The Comm Sheet, I just wanted to say THANK YOU for this community we've built together.
Since we’ll be on hiatus for the rest of the summer, I’ve jam-packed this issue with story ideas that have been percolating for a while, including five diverse features (a hotel that was once a prison… WHAT?), an insightful Q&A, a super-cool exhibition, some gorgeous new products, and a quote from Barbara Barry, who’s inspired me since I was a 22-year-old newb in the A&D world.
As always, our content is meant to spark conversation, surprise you, inspire you, and maybe even challenge you a bit. We hope something in this issue stays with you.
In the coming weeks, if you have story ideas, pitches, input, opinions, or just want to say HI 👋🏼, please don’t hesitate to reach out. You can contact me at danine@daninealati.com (in addition to The Comm Sheet account).
This is not goodbye… it’s see you later. Can’t wait to share what’s next. Until then, take good care.
Enjoy the rest of the summer!
