Hey, Design Friends—We’re Live! 🎉
The Comm Sheet has officially launched! Think of it as your backstage pass to the commercial design world—quick hits, smart inspo, and a little bit of fun.
What you’ll find here: straight talk from architects and designers we love, interiors worth drooling over, and five fast questions with people shaping the industry. We’ll also highlight the product introductions, debates, and buzzy topics you’ll actually want to keep up with—everything from inclusive design to what’s next in the workplace.
For our debut drop, we’ve got some gems: wisdom from Suchi Reddy and Rayman Boozer, a bold streetwear shop by Studio Lourdes, and two office projects rewriting the corporate design playbook. Plus, sculptural furniture finds and the sleek work pods that everyone was eyeing at NeoCon 2025.
Dive in, scroll around, and let us know what hits. This is a conversation, after all—and we want you in it. Tell us what you liked, what you want more of, or just pop in to say hi.
Thanks for being here… from the very beginning!
XOXO... danine

Danine Alati, Editor
A 25-plus-year veteran of the interior design industry, Danine cut her teeth at commercial design publication, Contract magazine (RIP!), where she worked for 11 years post-college, way before working as a freelancer for AD PRO, i+D magazine, Design Chicago, Design NYC, among design mags for the past 7 years. While working at Niche media, which publishes city-specific luxury magazine—think Hamptons, Aspen Peak, Ocean Drive—she married her art director, and they now live happily ever after (most of the time) in their Brooklyn apartment with their spicy and hilarious 7-year-old son and adorable tuxedo kitten—who is SO cute that the whole fam is obsessed with her.
Louis Noah, Writer
With 18 years working in education, Louis has a passion for writing, teaching, and learning, which has shaped his career. He’s passionate about the power of a good story—whether it’s a spooky thriller or the best meet-cute. He's particularly interested in finding ways to make the world more inclusive through education and thoughtful design. When he's not at school, he's likely curled up with a good book, tending to his garden, or spoiling his three dogs. Louis and his wife are in a love-hate relationship with their charming 1890s home, dreaming of design updates somewhere in between restoring and modernizing or maybe burning it to the ground and starting over.
Dalene Rovenstine, Writer
A writer/editor with two decades of experience in magazines and digital media, Dalene has worked at brands like Entertainment Weekly, Tudum by Netflix, and TVGuide.com, where she essentially watched TV for a living. Besides her work in entertainment, she has contributed to Luxe Interiors + Design, Interior Design, Hamptons, Aspen Peak, and Real Simple. Dalene loves trying new restaurants, cheering for the OKC Thunder (her home team), and watching too much TV—though she doesn’t get paid for it these days. She says the best TV show for escaping reality right now is Heartland, a Canadian show about a family ranch, and nothing bad ever happens—even after 18 seasons!
We’re on the lookout for fresh voices and fun perspectives. If you love writing about design and want to be part of the mix, drop us a line and tell us why you want to write for us. We can't to hear from you!
